  • UPON REMOVAL OF OLD STARTER, THE STARTER IS DRY, NO SIGNS OF OIL. AT THIS TIME CAN NOT SAY WHY STARTER WENT BAD.
  • VEHICLE STARTED WITH NO ISSUE BUT THE STARTER IS VERY NOISY. RECOMMEND REPLACING STARTER.

  • Lubricate and check chassis. Change oil and oil filter. Check air filter and breather filter. Check all fluid levels and tire pressures. Preform basic safety inspection. Road test vehicle.
  • SYSTEM HAD 8 OZ, WILL SERVICE WITH DYE. NO VISIBLE LEAKS SEEN AT THIS TIME.

  • Labor time to test battery for charge and condition, labor to test alternator output with all loads on, test starter for excessive amperage draw. ALTERNATOR CHARGING 12.95 WITH NO LOADS, AND WITH A/C AND LIGHTS ON, IT QUITS ALL TOGETHER. ALSO BRAKE LIGHTS NOT GOING OFF. BATTERY TESTS OKAY. NEEDS ALTERNATOR AND BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH STOPPER

  • MOST OF LEAK APPEARS TO BE COMING FROM TIMING COVER.
